        Whispering Pines Kennel  is a  PA State Certified  Kennel.     
              Being licensed means we must be inspected, follow the state laws of a
breeding kennel, and have a safe, healthy environment for each purebred dog.   We
must have up to date accountable records of each adult dog and every puppy born in
our kennel.   At no time do we permit a female and male purebred dog to be in
together, unless they are breeding.  We also have been inspected by AKC Executive
Field Reps.

Our dogs have two, 14 ft x 18 ft, rooms that are attached to our living area.  Each
room with individually controlled  heating, air condition, a water purification system,
air filtration with a total air exchange system, UV light purification-kills 100% air
borne disease & virus,  proper state size living and sleeping quarters, smoke and fire
alarm system,  24 hour music and a surveillance system, all this for total safety,
health quality, and animal comfort.  Outside they have total surround security fence
with above SUV shading.  Each group run, is half open to the sky, the other half under
roof.  Shale base with rubber matting for under their paws.  The second room is a
nursery/delivery room, and it is also individually heated with full ventilation systems,
with extra whelping area and a glass viewing window.  From minute one, the puppies
are handled and loved. " After all, these are our grand-puppies ".

We have been breeding quality purebred AKC Toy Poodle puppies for sale,  over
twenty some years.  Just in the past eight years, we have added the wonderful
purebred AKC  Maltese puppies for sale.  We have always believed the quality
purebred Toy Poodle to be the most intelligent dog that we have owned.  I have
always said, " they listen better than any of the kids".
Well, after the addition of the Maltese, the purebred Maltese may be just a notch
higher.  Ginny has fallen totally in love with the breed.  The Maltese is born to be a
loving companion.  Being on your lap or along side you is the place for them.

Then, we decided to add the third quality purebred line to our kennel. This was not a
hard decision for us.  The delightful Yorkshire Terrier was the only choice.  Out of the
three wonderful breeds we have, a purebred AKC Yorkshire Terrier brings out the
meaning of a true independent. They are lively, lovable, and a total delight.  These
three quality purebred  breeds have the exact pet qualities that we were looking for
as a breeder, non-shedding, non-allergenic, easy going, prefect size and weight to
carry or hold on your lap." Maintaining these qualities is our goal".

These three breeds, Maltese, Toy Poodle, and  Yorkshire Terrier,  have one thing
pretty much in common  in their breed conformation.  The four to seven pounds as an
ideal weight.  But, today everyone's looking for the smallest dog under four pounds,
name being used the" teacup", these are just the runts of a litter.

Yes we occasionally have a runt or two. We advertise them as tiny- tiny, meaning the
puppy will be at the lower weight of the conformation size of  under five pounds.  It is
impossible to guarantee a weight.  What you feed the pup, being a special treat or
table food will effect it's weight and size.

The food the adults and the puppies consume is extremely important. A breeding
female must be in top quality health, before, during and after having a litter.  The
entire kennel must be feed top quality total natural ingredients, plus all essential
vitamins and chelated minerals.  We prefer dog food that does not have by-products,
artificial colorings, or flavorings, mixed in.  That is why we use and became a  
independent distributor of Flint River Ranch dog food.   Our four footed  family
members liked it so much, that we changed to Flint River Ranch from the brand we
have used for years.  When given the choice of dog foods, they preferred Flint River
Ranch every time.  As breeders/ owners of white coated dogs, some for the show
ring, we were glad that without the addition of food coloring their face area was not

Each puppy purchased from us is vet checked,  has first shots, and comes with a full
health guarantee.  Each pup has been separated from the mother a week before
leaving time.  This helps to insure the puppies are eating and drinking well on their
own.  The litter is now eating Flint River Ranch oven-baked kibble for puppies.   
Puppies at the toy size are very small, 1.6 to 2.6 pounds, at leaving time.  Without the
intake of food/water over a  period of time  may cause a drop in sugar levels, so
having  food and fresh water available all the time is the best and safest.

Maintaining the coat of the puppies can be very easy.  Each breed the Maltese, Toy
Poodle, and Yorkshire Terrier have beautiful hair.  You may call it hair, because it is
like ours,  that is why it does not shed or may have  that awful smell  when damp  like
the majority of the breeds.  If your not going to show the dog.  We recommend a
puppy cut, hair style, even into the adult age.  When bathing them using a good people
shampoo and conditioner is OK.  Purchasing a good pin brush to use is great.   Most
will  love the extra attention of the brushing,  just being together makes them the
happiness.  Also, a good way to create the bonding with your pet.

place a " puppies for sale"  add,  we're asking for an excellent home for each one of
them.  When you purchase a purebred  quality Maltese, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier

Making A Choice.....  
When you decide to purchase a
puppy.  You must visit the location of
the breeder,  you should see the
puppies parents  receive the
registration papers given a signed    
guaranteed of good health
statement. By doing these simple
steps, your purchase of a new family
member will be a happy one.
Another very important written  
statement  to insist upon. If your
purchasing an advertised  teacup.  
Demand a   written signed guarantee
of a teacup size, when that pup is
fully grown over 12 months old. This
means that it is under the standard
weight. If a Yorkie, Maltese, Toy
Poodle standard weight is 4 to 7
pounds then that teacup MUST be
under the four pounds at adult size.
Be advised that a  teacup  is not a
registrable size with the American
Kennel Club (AKC).  Also a designer
dog or mixed breed like ,-pom-poo,
lab-a-doodle, malt-a-poo,  
york-a-poo,  and  far too many more
are just plan old mixed breed mutts
that can be found at the local animal
shelter's.
