"There are Dogs you like, Dogs you love and Dogs that completely capture
your heart.  To own a Yorkshire Terrier is to know the difference".
Virginia "Ginny" &  Vince

Welcome we live in Pennsylvania and have been breeding Toy Poodles, since the late 70's. Our first three toy
poodles was a silver female, a black female and a red male. Katie the silver poodle was my sweetheart
unfortunately she did not like Vince at all.  As time passed we purchased more quality poodles including some
of the blood lines of Syntifny Piece of the Rock and Hell's A Blasen.
A few years went by then Vince had a very serious car accident causing us to discontinue our kennel.  Although
I did keep Katie, the remaining little family members went to close friends and relatives.
After his recovery, I wanted to have the kennel going again.  I must admit
"I love puppies".  Nothing in this
world makes me feel any better than having a puppy kiss me and the smell of puppy breath. I decided to start
with the Toy Poodles then add a breed or two later on. Our choices were along with the Toy Poodle, the
Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier.  After some time again we're breeding some excellent blood lines including our
own blood line.
Another dream that someday we would go to the Westminster Dog Show in New York, not to participant, but just
to visit the show.  Every year the Westminster Dog Show came on the TV, we would say to each other maybe
we'll make it next year.  Then as fate works we met a  wonderful person  Lee Coleman owner of  "Lin-Lee
Maltese" kennel, he introduced us to the breeder of  Polar Bear.  The next thing we knew, Polar Bear had
qualified for the 2005 Westminster Dog Show. Lee Coleman, and Polar Bear, made our years of someday come
true.
On Feb. 14, 2005, Polar Bear and I walked into ring #7 at Madison Square Gardens, home to Westminster Kennel Club.
"Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus. Even in February"

Not looking for a show dog:
Most people are looking to buy a small lap dog, not a show dog.  Basically that is the kind of pet we sell.
Excellent in health, a wonderful attitude, and just wanting to be loved. Our puppies are handled moments after
delivery we like to call this
"imprint puppy training", making the pups accept you as their closest friend.  By
doing this with all our puppies we have found everything you do with them even as they get older is very easy
and the trust is unbelievable.  The feedback  from our new owners have stated how easy it is to house break
and bond with the pups it's amazing. Even their new veterinarian are surprised with handling the pups
especially being able to hold them in one hand while they lay on their back.
Every puppy is handled and played with daily at first we have them just lying on our chest while we watch TV of
course sleeping is their biggest event.  As time passes they are all over the floors pulling your hair and licking
your nose.  Rough housing with each other then one by one they find a quiet spot and drift off to sleep.  We
gather them up take back to mom tomorrow we do it all over again.
The puppies  make us feel young again. How they make you laugh, letting everything else seem so
unimportant. A
puppies can reach a part of your heart that no one else can touch. Only a fellow animal lover will
ever understand this bond.

Helping to fill the void:
Small dogs for seniors can bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "man's best friend".  For those who may
have lost loved ones or live far from family, pets can make a bright spot in their lives.  Over the years a puppy
provides a great companionship for those who need a friend and a loved one.
We have the opportunity to visit local retirement home with our smaller size pets.  Each person holds the dog
on their lap, hugging, kissing, laughing and just stroking the dogs hair.  At one of our visit a lady said,
"I haven't
brushed hair like this since my daughter was a young girl"
.  Just watching her facial expressions you could
almost see her go back in time.
Selling a puppy to someone is not just a final event.  We like the new owners to keep in touch either by  e-mails,
cards, letters, telephone calls or even a return visit  with the pup.  We love and miss each one of them.

Helping to select the right breed:
We belong to two local kennel clubs the LHKA and AAKA both have dog handling  classes available. These
classes are a must in getting the pup ready for the shows.  Each year the clubs have  A.K.C dog show for
conformation. If looking to add a special member to your household attending a dog show gives you the
opportunity to see and touch almost every purebred dog.  Also being able to meet and talk with other dog
people from all over the country.
But I think the best advice is to use your HEAD not your HEART  when you purchase a puppy.  Think about
your age, your health and your surroundings.  All puppies are cute and cuddly, easy to pick-up, hold, and walk
on a leash as time passes some breeds start to shed their fur, now about table height, and walking them on a
leash almost dislocates your shoulder. If you are an older person, maybe you should think small dog.  If you live
in a city maybe you should think small dog. If you want to take your dog shopping with you maybe you should
think small dog.  If you do not want a sore back and shoulder all the time maybe you should think small dog.
Have we helped you with making a decision to buy a.....Small dog?

No matter what you purchase, make sure you are a good pet owner. You must take care of all their needs, if
you work 100% of the dogs needs must be taken care of before you leave for work, school,etc...Example;
going outside for bathroom needs, fresh food, clean water, toy's and clean bedding.  We believe in crating
unattended pets some others do not they feel this is not fair to the animal.  Why we do and suggest to our new
owners use the crate for safety and protection of the animal.  Also makes house breaking a lot easier.  Like
young children puppies do not always make wise choices all the time; like chewing on 0electric cord, a sponge,
a plant, etc.   A person we knew purchased a puppy ( not from us) and left it just run loose all the time returning
home from work he found the puppy was very sick.  They rushed him to the vet  found out after death he
chewed and swallowed a piece of sponge.  What else could have caused  the same outcome?  So, yes we
support the use of a proper size crate for the health and safety of the pet.  It is their own space, a safe haven
with low overhead  giving  each the feeling of a den.
Crate them for their own protection.
"Loving
what we do
has given us
total joy in
our life".
